This challenging role covers the full software development lifecycle, with emphasis firmly on analysis, design, programming and unit testing. Responsibilities include participating in projects, developing new functionality, maintaining existing product suite, translating business requirements and designs into software solutions, creating and maintaining a centre of excellence for methods and techniques and providing support to internal service delivery teams as required and occasionally to clients.

Required Experience

• Graduate calibre or last year student
• Proven experience of programming in SQL plus one of the following is required: C++, C# (we will also consider junior analyst programmers without commercial experience in programming).

Desirable Qualifications/ Experience

• Computing or Mathematics related degree
• ISEB qualified (foundation qualification)
• Knowledge of PL/SQL
• Knowledge of Oracle Database
• Knowledge of HTML/Javascript
• Knowledge of WPF, WCF, ASP.Net, REST
• Knowledge of XML/XSLT
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g. NUnit, MS Test, etc...)
• Business knowledge of portfolio management, trading or financial services systems
• Proven experience of business application design
• Knowledge of source code management and build tools
• Experience with agile methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc...)
