An exceptional Java developer to be part of a team that is developing best-in-class mobile app experiences and the core infrastructure and services that power them. The ideal candidate has experience building reliable software, is product minded and performance focused. You are passionate about your code and product growth.

Responsibilities

• Build core infrastructure and services that power Balaclava Lab mobile and web products
• Collaborate with the product, design, and infrastructure engineering teams
• Produce clean and maintainable code covered with tests
• Be willing to continuously improve yourself

Your Skills

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
• Expert knowledge of Java and understanding functional programming concepts. Other JVM languages is a plus
• Knowledge of RxJava, GRPC, Docker, Redis is desirable
• Passionate about modern software development technologies 
• Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, operating systems, networking)
• Experience in developing scalable, low-latency, highly-available systems is a plus
