About us
Group Cards is a department within the Group Products IT division, responsible for delivering projects and services to business units like Cards Issuing, Cards Acquiring in Baltic countries.
Baltic Maintenance team is responsible for over 20 high criticality services which are used by Group Cards business units in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and as well as Retail Banking and Back Offices in Baltics.
About the job
As Software engineer in the Cards Application Maintenance Baltic department your main responsibility will be to provide day to day maintenance and support of services (applications – products) to ensure stable and high quality delivery of services and applications.
Your responsibilities in specific:
- Solve Service Request as 2nd and/or 3rd level of support
- Solve incidents (related to the software/data part of the application) and is contact and primary counterparty for I&O for incidents solving
- Take care of daily application delivery, manage maintenance activities and solve problems in order to secure Service Level Targets
- Ensure correct data in applications
- Report bugs and errors
- Take part in testing of changes
- Have understanding of business products and services and how they are offered through applications
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements for keeping and/or raising application quality and improving maintenance efficiency
- Keep application related documentation up to date and create one if missing
- Take part in transition activities
- Participate in life-cycle projects
About you
We are looking for a person with higher education in IT field. We expect you to have at least 1 year of working experience in large or mid-sized organizations in the field of IT as an Application Administrator or similar position. You should have a good command of spoken and written English language skills. We are looking for a person, who has good analytical and structured thinking. You should be proactive, opened to new ideas and ready to learn new things. You should have high stress endurance and be constant in your activities. ITIL background is considered as an advantage. You should be willing to travel and have readiness to do on call duty work.
You should also have:
- higher education in IT field (or acquiring)
- work experience in IT sector
- good spoken and written English and Latvian
- Experience with Linux, Unix, SQL, PL/SQL
- Knowledge of C++, Java is an advantage
- ITIL knowledge is an advantage
