Responsibilities

• Planning and administering container infrastructure and orchestration (e.g Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm)
• Using version control systems (e.g. Git, Gitlab, Artifactory)
• Using different automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Packer, Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Terraform)
• Secret management (e.g. Ansible Vault, HC Vault)
• Automating cloud infrastructure configuration (AWS, Google Cloud)
• Log collection and analytics (e.g. Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash)
• Linux or Windows system administration
• Writing scripts in any of following languages (Python, bash, Powershell)
• Ensure maintenance of an appropriate level of documentation for supervised servers and systems
• As a member of the IT Operations team, participate in the definition and evolution of airBaltic IT infrastructure

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience in IT system administration or software development
• Good understanding of Linux system architecture and administration
• University degree in IT related field or equivalent qualification level gained through practical experience
• General understanding of following concepts and technologies: continious integration/delivery; databases; application services; server virtualization; containers; IP networks; Network Load Balancing; NAS/SAN/Object storage; Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Fluent in English language

Optional Qualifications (any of them regarded as an advantage)

• Proficiency in any of following: Ansible and YAML language; Jenkins or Gitlab CI with experience in job and pipeline design; Docker with experience in container build automation and deployment; Container orchestration with Kubernetes or Swarm; version control and artefact management with Git, Gitlab and Artifactory; Administration of cloud services in AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
• Understanding of TCP/IP network stack and web technologies
• Knowledge of any programming or scripting languages
• Knowledge on any IT management, IT security or IT operations frameworks, standards and best practices (e.g. ISO 27000, ISO 20000, ITIL, COBIT, OWASP, OSSTMM, DevOps, Scrum, Kanban)
