About the position:

We are looking for a smart, self-starting person with Linux operations and development background to take a core role in our engineering team.

• Day to day operational tasks related to system, server maintenance and support;
• Participating in development projects by providing infrastructure and IT operations expertise;
• Automation of infrastructure and application environments;
•  Configuration and maintenance Continuous Integration systems and Continuous Delivery pipelines;
• Support of development teams with your unique operations knowledge;
• Contributing to platform architecture implementation;
•  Tasks related to security and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain tools that help us to deliver software fast and secure;
• Participate in development projects by providing infrastructure and IT operations expertise;
• Automate infrastructure;
•  Maintain business critical application environments, ensure that our systems are running healthy, stable and following best practices;
• Configure and maintain CI systems, CD pipelines and test environments;
• Working closely with Infrastructure, Information Security and Development teams in building stable, secure and agile systems;
• Support and coach developers in using our infrastructure;
• Continuously improve environment.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge in Linux/Unix systems administration;
•  5-year experience in Linux administration;
•  Great communications skills;
•  Fluent written and spoken English (our environment is multi-location and multi-national);
• SQL database administration and management experience are a plus (We use PostgreSQL and MySQL);
• Ability and habit to use Version Control System (we use GitHub);
• Understanding of software delivery concepts - experience with CI/CD systems (We use Jenkins);
• Understanding of web solutions, its principles of operation and development trends;
• Experience setting up and configuring monitoring systems (We use Zabbix);
• Experience in infrastructure configuration management and automation tools is a plus (We use Ansible);
• Preferred experience of using cloud infrastructure providers;
• Knowledge of best practices of IT Operations and building highly available and scalable systems.
