Team: IT team consists of 80+ professionals across 8 different teams, working with 10+ products. They are cross-functional, self-sufficient, and highly autonomous teams led by supporting and inspirational leaders. You will work in a full-stack team with colleagues like Service support specialists, QAs, Back-End, Front-End, Products owner, and Team lead. They have varieties of different tasks (bug fixes, refactoring, different integrations, packages, and services creation and much more).

Location: Office on Skanstes iela, Riga.

Technology stack: Zend 3 and Symfony 4-5, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, PHP 7.3+, Docker, AWS services, Kubernetes, CircleCI, GitHub, Microservices, Domain Driven Design, Kong, RabbitMQ as main message broker and beanstalk, RESTFULL API, Graylog, Grafana for real-time monitoring and much more.

Job mission:

• Be a part of international engineering department and support number of products in European countries.
• Actively participate in company’s new development and support your team with finding the best problem solutions in alignment to company’s standards.

Responsibilities:

• Help identify areas of improvement in the codebase and help contribute to making it better.
• Fix any prioritized bug/issues tracked within the platforms.
• Get a very good onboarding process (from a technical and domain perspective). If you don’t know anything about finances you will have a chance to learn it.
• Be able to work with the list of modern services like payment systems, credit bureaus, fraud systems, AWS services, etc.
• Be able to use your previous experience and offer something new - we are open to new ideas.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of PHP 7+ backend experience;
• Experience working with ORM - preferably Doctrine (a strong understanding of relational databases);
• Experience with RabbitMQ;
• Experience with Docker;
• Experience with Symfony framework (or Laravel);
• Some experience with micro-services (event-driven);
• Proficiency in Linux environment;
• Experience building REST / RPC APIs and strong emphasis on testing;
• Communication skills and team work;
• English, Russian languages skills.

Will be considered as advantage:

• Hands-on experience with FinTech products or in finance field;
• Experience building projects in “Domain Driven Design” fashion;
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka;
• Experience building your own pipelines (e.g. CircleCI, Github Actions, Jenkins, etc).
