Responsibilities

• Support for daily operation of the company’s databases, ensuring database availability and performance
• Database related incident resolution and request fulfillment
• Setup of database environments for business systems and tools
• Setup and maintenance of database administration, backup and monitoring tools
• Creating conceptual, logical and physical design of databases
• Continuously investigating ways to improve the database technology, following the market and community trends
• Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions
• Controlling access permissions and privileges, ensuring database and data security
• Taking part in backup and disaster recovery plan development and implementation

Requirements

• Fundamental IT skills – IT infrastructure, system architecture and security, development concepts
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts and technologies and SQL skills
• At least 3 years experience in DBA role maintaining PostgreSQL (preferred) or Oracle databases
• Proven experience in designing complex databases
• Experience in enterprise data architecture design, including planning and implementing DWH data structures considered as an advantage
• Good Linux server management knowledge, experience on Ubuntu Server is preferred
• Experience in maintaining PostgreSQL and MySQL as well as IAAS (AWS, Azure) databases preferred
• Experience using infrastructure management and development tools (Ansible, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, GIT) preferred
•  Experience in logical replication of PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL considered as an advantage
• PHP programming skills considered as an advantage
• Certifications on DBA knowledge preferred
• Good written and spoken English
