About the team

We are a development team, in a new and growing unit, using data to enhance customer analytics and enable automated individual offerings for Swedbank customers. Our main challenges, currently, are installations of

• A state of the art AI Lab environment, for data scientists to perform distributed deep learning
• A data streaming platform to accomplish real-time customer feedback

We value close co-operation and agile ways of working to achieve more.  Team members can be located in all our four home markets.

About the role

As a new member in our Customer Analytics team, we expect you to have experience in a wide range of technologies, but most important is your ability to rapidly learn and adapt to continuous changes in the technology stack. Right now, an extra plus is experience from front-end development (AngularJS or similar) or Hadoop/Kafka. The key motto of this role is ‘Bringing customer value by enabling technology’, i.e. performing development inside the data streaming tool, integration to web, mobile app and Kafka.

What you need to succeed

• You have solid technical skills and hands-on development experience
• You have experience of (or interest to learn) integrating applications to data layers and know how to align applications to information models
• You understand main principles of data science and data engineering and are ready to drive Swedbank forward within the field of customer analytics
• Knowledge and interest of continuously learning about Hadoop platform or other big data, real-time technologies (e.g. Apache Spark, Kafka)
• Knowledge about CLI, UNIX/Linux, TCP/IP, Networking, Containers (Openshift, Docker) is a plus

The team is geographically spread which means you will need to do some travelling occasionally.

If you will be employed in Latvia, the gross salary for this position is starting from 2600 EUR (before taxes after probation period). In Swedbank salary offer for the final candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position, and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
